Frugal Friday
In honor of earth day, for the next month, my Frugal Friday post will be dedicated not only to saving money, but also to saving the earth. There are things we can all do to help.
This week, let’s look at some things that will help save energy- which will save you money on your energy bill.
- Turn off your oven 15 minutes early.
- Put a lid on pots that you want to boil.
- Thaw food before cooking.
- Allow dishes in the dishwasher to air dry.
- Use rechargeable batteries.

Menu Monday- Manwich
This week, I thought we’d try something different. So, I looked up a couple of options using mainly ad items. And, the recipes will be included at the bottom.
So, since ground beef is on sale for only $1.59/ lb this week and Manwich is on sale for .79 a can, I thought we could see what recipes we could get from that. So, check out below for Manwich Meatloaf, Manwich Casseroles with Crescent Rolls, Manwich Casserole with Pasta, or you can make Manwich the good old fashioned way and put it on a bun! Orieda Potatoes are $1.99 a box, which would be perfect with Manwich Meatloaf. Our Family Frozen Vegetables are 5/ $5 this week. And, for a great healthy meal, you can even add a New Dole Salad! They are 2/ $5 this week.
For desert, how about Breyers Ice Cream? It’s on sale for $1.99 with the coupon on the front of the ad!
